Dragon is missing.

I forgot to post a few weeks ago that I would be going on vacation and Dragon would be boarded. On July 2nd, while at an open off-leash space with a friend, he took off. There have been sightings but he is still lost.

I am utterly heartbroken, but there is a massive search and rescue effort being coordinated on FaceBook:

Please feel free to join the group to help (if you are in the East Bay Area of California) or just to follow along with the search effort. Please send good thoughts, prayers, cross your fingers, whatever you do when wishing for a beloved dog to return home.

  2. So sorry! I joined the FB group and shared it with my family in the Bay Area. Have you heard of Missing Pet Partnership?

They have great tips on searching, and might be able to direct you to a local pet detective (yes, they actually exist) with a tracking dog in the area.

Also, Petharbor (the website that lists shelter animals) has a program where they will send postcards to everyone in the neighborhood:

    Also try http://www.fidofinder.com/

Good luck, I hope you find him soon! I'm in L.A., but will keep my eyes out around here on the shelter & rescue sites.

  3. I saw this post on facebook a few times. I had not realize it was your dog. I have not posted here before, but do love to read about your training. I am so sorry you have not found him yet - it is very clear he meant the world to you. Keep hope, he may be safe in a home and you will hear about it soon.
